Hi, I’m new to this forum so am hoping some of you can help me. I need a good saddle fitter who will travel to the Wendell area in North Carolina (Johnston County). I called David Brooks but he apparently works exclusively with English tack. I want a western saddle and have no experience with saddle fitting. Need someone who will travel to the farm and preferably doesn’t represent any specific manufacturer. I just want the right saddle for me and my horse! Thanks for any suggestions, good or bad.
Have you tried Dennis at Rocking B ? He is located in Burlington, nc. He may not travel but I have trailered my horse (s) to him for a saddle fitting.
David Collins (dcwestern.com) in Goldsboro is great. He makes saddles and also sells a huge volume of new and used saddles of all brands. I am always amazed at how many people I meet all over NC who have used him. I can scrounge up a phone number if you need one.

Shelby is all about saddle fitting and often uses Skito saddle pads with adjustable shims to customize the fit of saddles. Her specialty is western and trail saddles. They also sell several brands of saddles. But she will work with your existing saddle also and has the knowledge and tools to really analyze western type of saddles.
