Westphalian Registry

Posting a positive experience!!!

I recently took in a Westphalian stallion who had been separated from his paperwork (I actually asked on this forum about him a couple of weeks ago). Well, in working with the Westphalian registry they have helped me confirm that he is who he is supposed to be and will be assisting me in getting his paperwork! I may collect the stallion for my future use, but mainly wanted confirmation on who he is.

Dr. Andrea Sieg was very helpful in helping me with the request. And I am so thankful.

I’m not surprised! I’ve also heard the Westphalian registry and Andrea Sieg are great to work with. I had a question for them once and she called me the same day to answer it. I have a friend who took all of her horses Westphalian after dealing with other US-based German registries for years.

I needed a breeding certificate for Westphalian frozen semen I bought, and Dr. Sieg got it to me the same day. I’m also impressed with them…and their horses.

Andrea is great with getting things done and a very good friend of mine! Hope to see her when I head to Aiken in March.

Dr. Andrea helped us as well when we purchased our Westfalen stallion. We had never dealt with the registry and knew nothing about how they approve mares and register foals. Thanks to all her help and endless knowledge, we have a profitable business breeding Westfalens and hosting an inspection annually. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to gain experience breeding Westfalens.

I don’t know much about the Westfalen registry; wouldn’t mind learning more. I went to the North American registry website, though, and the link to approved/available stallions doesn’t work. Is this typical?

I wouldn’t say it’s typical  Maybe a web relaunch in the go? The Verband website in Germany had a complete makeover and I quite like the new one. I think a lot of thought has gone into it and they’ve spiced it up with featured videos and lots of helpful things as well as improved contact infos.

Andrea Sieg, true to form, got back to me this afternoon regarding this morning’s email about the stallion link. Here it is:
