WFFS in Irish Draught horses?

Does anyone know if the Warmblood Fragile Foal Syndrome gene is present in the Irish Draught breed? I’m just wondering if this is worth testing for.

I haven’t heard of an Irish Draught horse being tested positive, but I also have not come across any indication that people have gotten them tested (or if they have, that it has occurred in any significant number) so I don’t know if I would take that as a positive or a negative indication of anything. While the gene is most prevalent in warmbloods (and warmblood crosses), because it is also present in thoroughbreds, it may be worth testing any horse or breed that has thoroughbred ancestry.

Pure speculation on my part: based on the relatively low incidence of the gene in thoroughbreds I wouldn’t be surprised if the gene doesn’t show up in breeds that the thoroughbred has influenced. But, this is not grounded in science and is just thinking on my part so testing is always going to be the easiest (both for confirmation and peace of mind)! And while the gene isn’t particularly prevalent in TBs, it still would just take one outcross with the right stallion to have introduced it.
