What are the popular TB studs now?
And four of those had already been mentioned by other posters.
I know but the OP mentioned she liked looking at pedigrees. I just added links so the pedigrees were easy to view

Thank you very much for mentioning A Fine Romance, Nootka.

You are very welcome. Your boy is a great and has proven his worth as a sire, time and time again. I hope the youngster can live up to his sire’s name

there is one TB-stallion standing in Belgium who has a good reputation …

Luso : http://sporthorse-data.com/d?d=luso&sex=&color=&dog_breed=any&birthyear=&birthland=

I know someone who recently purchased an Artrageous baby.

No idea how he stacks up compared to the others.

I I for one would be interested in a purpose-bred TB. I like thoroughbreds and my husband prefers ones that haven’t raced. So in the future this could be a good compromise.

I’m not sure that Harry the Hat is still standing - he used to be at Castle Rock Farm, but wasn’t in their stallion ad this year and isn’t on the website any longer: http://www.castlerock-farm.com/index.html

Louis Quatorze is standing at Murmur Farm: http://www.murmurfarm.com/LouisQuatorze.html
He’s been a favorite of mine for a long time - thanks for the heads up on his kids at Finger Lakes, Beowulf!

Friend or Foe: http://www.smallwoodfarm.org/Friend-or-Foe.html has been pointed at the sporthorse market.
Has anyone heard anything about the Triple Twist son, TF Classic Twist, lately?
Oh, and what about Baatesh, the TB who went through the 70 Day test a few years ago? I think he’s at Avalon Equine.

Harry the Hat would be 27 this year, so it would not surprise me at all if he was pensioned or passed without it making the news.

Did the Tarr’s move? They were in Colorado, not California. The website still lists CO…

Oops! Typo! Yes they are still in CO …

I was going to mention Artrageous as well - he looks like a really nice TB stallion

And I had someone contact me yesterday on the best TB stallion to produce an upper level event prospect and I recommended Rather Well - glad to see he is mentioned here as well!

 You have thing for California, huh?

I agree with you on Rather Well–just love him!

Geez!!! Just corrected it! If the “O” and the “A” were side by side, I could 'splain it that way but no such luck! :sigh:

Me too on Rather Well - he has definitely “walked the walk” and “talked the talk” for sure …

I owned his dam as well and leased her to Garry Roque who bred her to his Raj Kapoor stallion and Rather Well was the result. I have a real soft spot for him and loved Raj Kapoor as well

Just a Devil stands in VA and has several up and coming purpose bred Event offspring. Including his eldest Lucky Devil who went all the way to the CCI*** level with Lauren Keiffer

Thanks again Nootka, that means a lot to me.
Right now there are 2 AFR sons, and one grandson who may be kept as stallions.
These are important performance bloodlines so I am looking forward to the future and hoping for the best.

That is awesome Fred !!

TF Classic Twist is currently on a breeding lease in Maine. He should be home this summer and will start his performance career :). I can’t wait to get him going! Thank you for thinking of us.

Can someone tell me whether Sea Lion was alreday used in WB breeding ? Pcitures/video of offspring ?
What would one expect from his bloodlines regarding what he passes on ?
