Never saw them called kick chains. Around here they were weighted rollers for high action horses. Weight added extra motion, for high and bigger strides. You might check with some 5-gaited horse supply vendors to buy them.
Yeah. Kicking chains have smaller chains that dangle over the hoof so they annoy the horse when he kicks or paws. These are technically action chains.
Those are roller chains … ankle chain to encourage ‘Action’ … used while working the horse / sometimes left on front legs while in the stall too. * purchased in pairs

Well #TIL. I know what regular kick chains are. But was given these by a friend to try on my stall bound horse several years ago. They work like a charm as kick chains.
