What are you getting your horse for the holidays?

Mine will be getting some cookies (homemade), a pretty new saddle pad and a new stall toy.

I got him this year and he already this year he has gotten a new saddle (new to me, since he is growing still), a nice bridle, $$ bits, turnout sheet and blankets, leather halter…

Mine is getting a bunch of horse treats and I’m having his pictures done with my kids. His gift to me is behaving like a gentleman, since he can be a four letter word, PONY. My kids make him homemade Likit refills and getting him a new cooler with his name on it.

He got a back on track sheet last year and loves it. Wish they made boots small enough for him.

I make them a warm mash with carrots and apple bits in it.

NOTHING! My guy spent his entire inheritance in vet-bills, all in two weeks in October and will be getting nothing, not even a cute BOT pad or polos.

I kid, he will get plenty of mints and kisses… and maybe if he is extra good, will graduate from his 12x20 medical paddock to a 20x20… We shall see

She’s already got it. Last weekend I bought her a new heated water bucket because the other 2!! weren’t working.
She may get some (more) treats.

My mare is having SI issues so her Xmas present is all the massages she has needed lately. If the funds allow, I would like to get her the BoT knee boots for her arthritis.

Of course she will get her favorite treat as well…candy canes!

They get a whole new barn in a whole new state.

And we get a new house. And a lot of unpacking!

Mine spends enough money as it is, but I am thinking of getting him one of the Amigo medium weights on sale from Adams because it’s the same color as his Rambo medium (and thus matches the neck cover I already have). Last year the poor guy was laid up all winter, but now he’s actually using his turnout for turnout! Which means I think I need a backup so I can periodically have one out being cleaned. My only hesitation is what size to buy because I have a feeling he’ll be wearing a bigger size by next winter. :o

This is me. Oh, we’re walking under saddle, but he partially re-injured a suspensory that was just reaching the “now you can canter” stage, so it’s back to 30-40 minutes of walking under saddle. Oh, and a another shockwave session for the new partial injury. That’s is Xmas present. Mints and kisses he gets all the time, so…yeah, he’s spoiled. But he is SO cute…if a spooky 16.2 h.h. Araloosa can be considered “cute.” Sigh. Last night, I got on and his back was so humped my saddle was tilted forward. I chanted our mantra, “Relaaaaax…Waaaalk” and walked smallish circles, scritching his withers,in the quiet end of the arena for about 5 minutes before his back leveled out and I dared venture around the entire perimeter of the arena.

Mine’s getting some new saddle pads, a 3-in-one turnout blanket and lots of yummy cookies

My older gentleman has literally everything he could possibly need - really, he’s so spoiled! So all I can think of for him are his favorite treats (he’s very picky.)

The pony I free lease to give lessons on will be getting spoiled by his children, I’m sure! So far I’ve heard of a new saddle pad and some treats coming his way.

I unexpectedly (impulsively, stupidly…) took on a little project mare about a month ago. Since she came into the picture with no planning or foresight, she gets some new things I splurged on during black friday/cyber monday: a BOT exercise sheet because of her sore SI area; a fleece lined Le Mieux saddle pad; a Five Star bridle; and the Flexible Fit dressage breastplate.

And of course, whatever my Secret Santa sends us!!

The gift of life…I had a pretty big vet bill last month! He also gets a ton of peppermints and carrots everyday

I am a bad horse mom :frowning: I work my a… of for my horses every day so they will get nothing…

Mine got a new boyfriend. He’s not my new horse and most definitely wasn’t bought for her but she doesn’t need to know that.

I pay his bills every month, ISN’T THAT ENOUGH?!

We’re teaching mine to jump under saddle. He seems to be enjoying the break from 20 meter circle tedium.

Back xrays. Hes already in full training with his BOT, on ulcer meds, why not have a complete lameness exam with xrays?!?

My love and a few carrots! He already gets all of my extra money.

Go see a thread in favorites as to what not to buy it from willem. Still good advice.

Mine is getting a low trace clip and coffin joint injections to go with his many many $$ in diagnostic, injection, IRAP and bodywork bills from this year. Oh, and the $1500 he cost me in emergency room bills after he knocked me down, stepped on my chest, and fractured 2 ribs.

If he’s not happy with that he can suck it.

Just kidding. He’ll also get treats, kisses, and lots of nose scratches.
