What are you getting your horse for the holidays?

My horse (who I don’t ride and is on a lease at the time) will get some treats and maybe some new brushes.

The horse I ride and show who belongs to my BO is getting a leather halter with nameplate and some treats. So speaking of which, what are your favorite leather halters that don’t break the bank? Would prefer triple stitched, with throatlatch snap and adjustable noseband.

Quillins halters, they last forever. Love mine. Can’t say enough good things about them.

Thanks!

Mine got a new 2H bumper pull with dressing room, a bunch of random stuff almost every month from smartpak or eBay because I’m an impulse buyer and can’t say no, new Rambo liner, allergy testing and shots and most recently…a new CWD…I think he’s set for a while! But he will still get a bunch of cookies and carrots and something else I’m sure LOL!!! Oh dressage lessons and Bernie Tauring clinic in February.

Ice Vibe boots for my mare’s bowed tendon.

Quillin’s Sale Halters:

Go for the triple stitched noseband, throat snap and name plate. Their engraving is excellent. Makes a great show halter OR every day halter.

curious about the sizing on these, I couldn’t find the info on the site. The horse I’m buying for is an OTTB, he is a full size in length of head, but has a face that narrows down to a small muzzle. Think full size bridle with cob noseband. Would the regular full size work for him? Or other ideas on sizing?

Ironically, my family and i have a 15 dollar spending limit for gifts for each other–but I am spending $85 on each horse! LOL.

Pony got a new Pro Choice sheepskin girth.
Baby got a black leather halter with bomb-looking red trim (she is black)
Roxie is likely getting $85 worth of treats because I know that’s all she really wants anyway. LOL.

I am not getting mine a darn thing. She sold 2 months ago. Finally.

:applause::encouragement:[happy dance]:applause::encouragement:

Mom’s pony is getting a half dozen $4 halters to lose in the field.

I am a bad horse mom :frowning: I work my a… of for my horses every day so they will get nothing…[/QUOTE]
My boys will get the Usual:
*3 meals a day w/unlimited hay
*A place to live < includes freshly bedded stalls (rarely used - their choice)
*Morning & Evening dispensing of treats

I’d like them to gift me with a season of coats un-breaded with available mud.
Really, boys?
It’s 20F & you are still managing to find places to coat with mud?

Of course, if I had Room Service/Massage Therapist for daily (sometimes 2 or 3X!) mud-removal & grooming, I might roll myself!

My horses are athiests. They get nothing from me for Christmas.
Actually, they get so much stuff year-round and it’s stressful enough to find all the gifts I HAVE to buy, that it’s a relief to just treat it as just another day for the horses.

The barn cats also get nothing. The dogs get presents, but they’re the only ones who live in the house.

My guy is getting an early Christmas gift…surgery to remove a Keratoma !
