Title says it all, folks. What boots are you finding fit the ‘legs as thick as a fence post’ type drafty horses?
For xc my guy goes in NEW Equine Boots, the airowear version. I love, love, love them. He’s in mediums/horse size all around-- I think they run large.
Nothing fancy really, Roma neoprene brushing boots for XC and Equifit open fronts for show jumping. Large size though, of course.
My Perch/QH, new addition and I think shes awesome, just wears Woof boots on all four. Shes got stocky but short cannon bones.
She fits into my Veredus Open Fronts with the velcro closures. Not sure how old they are, but they work.
Mine goes in open front Equifit’s Xl’s for stadium, and the Woof Smart Event boots for XC in large all the way around. The XL’s were too big on the hind, and spun, local rep exchanged them for me for the large, said they were redoing sizing on them, and they fit perfectly now.
I have dalmar open fronts (large) that I am using for now. When (if) we move up to training I may opt for more protection. I also have some Nunn Finer brushing boots in large that fit him. He is not a huge draft cross however.
I have size medium Amigo Airflow boots that I use on my smaller horse, and they are quite large. I think a size large would fit a draft x. They are a very nice boot for the price (~$40).
Tucker wears Woof boots and the All Sport Boots from Dressage Sport Boots.
I have tried a lot of fancy and more expensive boots over the years but these work the best.

You know what, I might actually have some of those knocking around somewhere! If I don’t ever come back to this post, just assume the ‘closet of death’ finished me off whilst I was on my quest to find them >.>
Extra wide Woof boots. They are hard to find, but Adams Horse Supply had them when I needed them a number of years ago.

I second this. My guy wears size large on his hinds and could wear mediums up front (I think).
He’s a 17.2 H Belgian/DHH cross - big dude.
When i bother booting her i use premiere equine boots or bandages. I struggled to find any that fit well for jump and speed work. I tend to not use them much tho as a) shes very good generally about where her legs are and b) im in australia and the extra heat boots cause in their legs is to me more problematic
