I’m trying to find out what brand my saddle is. There aren’t any plates with a name just the “button” on the pommel that I believe says AV and a stamp under the flap with a number 474420 and another number I can barely make out but I think it says 368014243. It had some thing else stamped but most was rubbed off. Any idea what AV (or maybe AW) stands for? I’d post a pic but I don’t have a clue how! I found an ebay ad for what looks like my saddle for pictures (not my ad) http://m.ebay.com/itm/122113412158
You can upload your photos to a site like Photobucket and then post a web link to view the photos, it would be helpful to see the logo.
Possibly “CUSTOM”?
Seeing a clear picture of the button would really help.
I’m not sure how helpful this is, but the saddle itself looks identical to an old Carlyle saddle that belongs to one of my students. I don’t remember what the brand button looks like on her saddle, although I doubt it’d be an AV.

This is the “button”

That ebay saddle looks like the same brand. Why not contact the seller and ask?
Also, it looks like ATV, not AV.
They put unbranded for the brand, I’m assuming they don’t know either otherwise they would have put the brand
Looks like a Niedersus.

Looks like a Niedersus.[/QUOTE]
Niedersuss saddles typically have a KN brand button.
How about photos of the stamps on the flap? Also, sometimes you can take a peek on the underside of the gullet and “open” the piece of leather there at the front which is like a small arc. It may have some writing on it to give a clue.
ETA: if someone can explain how to do a reverse image search (on Google?), you may get a hit.
Saddle companies made Anky Van Grunsven models. Could it be one of them?
I can’t see where it says AVG or AV, and I can’t see the logo clearly on the pommel nail, but the shape of the saddle, the shape and type of the knee rolls, and the billet construction and shape/style of the billets look exactly like my miller klimke. They are not expensive saddles but they are ridiculously comfortable, and I liked my miller klimke so much that when my horse outgrew it, I bought another one with a wider tree.
Here’s a video from pelham saddlery of what a Miller Klimke looks like.

Also, Ovation took over the ‘Klimke’ model from Miller at some point in the past, and I am not sure exactly how an Ovation one would be branded or marked.
