What Breed is this beautiful horse? Please help. Thank you.

So I was perusing the internets the other day for spotted sport horses and other such similar words. I came across this very beautiful spotted horse on a pinterest page. There was no information attached to her.

She looks like she definitely has Appaloosa in her, but what is/are the other influence(s)? Is she a Sportaloosa (and if so, what’s her other half from?)? Or is she a Knabstrupper?

Here is a link to her picture I saved:

I hope someone out there can help me. This horse is just amazing looking!

An appaloosa crossed with an arabian?

Cant you contact the pinterest poster and ask? I don’t know how pinterest works. …

She’s stunning!!

She looks a little like a local stallion (now retired) called Dances With Wolves. I think he’s Appy and tb. Pretty sure there’s no Knab but I’ll check. She’s more refined in the face but they’re similar through the body. Perhaps appy x anglo arab?

It’s an appaloosa from the Netherlands.

HA! An “appaloosa” with lots of KWPN and Holsteiner in his blood…no wonder he doens’t look like your run-of-the-mill Appy!

Was going to say - Appy/warmblood. Gorgeous.

Kitrina- Here is the secret that’s going to BLOW YOUR MIND.

because there are so many beautiful and uncredited horse pictures floating around out there- learn how to do a google image search- if the picture has already hit pinterest- of course there will be lots and lots of pins with no info- hopefully you’ll find a pin that links to the original website- but you can keep going down the line of pages of search results- and you’ll usually wind up back at the breeding farm or photographer’s page.

Right click on the image and ask “Search google for this image” from the menu!!

You’ll love it! You can even do it from pictures on FB once you click them to open in a new window.

I also get a kick out of the “similar images” offerings that are sometimes uncanny in color and composition!

I do have a soft SPOT for Appys…

I am not familiar with the format of that class but I imagine they didn’t want him jumping the poles and running into the letters and almost running over the judge! He was something to see when he got going however.

Nice mover! I’m surprised he’s not a little more broke at 6, though…

‘Sportaloosa’? Is that really a thing?

It’s the labradoodle of the horse world. I’m a little horrified at all the Friesian x Appys being marketed as “warmbloods”

unfortunately, I was perusing during one of those late nights in which I was curious about spotted sport horses. and when I found it through google, I just saved it to my computer without thinking much of trying to remember the page I got it from. The next day when I had time to oogle over the picture with an awake mind, I tried to go back to google to find it, but I have yet to find her again. and the pinterest site, from what I remember, just had random pretty pictures of horses. none of them had any information on them. It was just simply a picture collection. I’ve had no luck. It’s a fantastic mystery horse, but I’m so infatuated I must know. I can’t stop until I know. I was just hoping there would be some knowledgeable breed expert on here somewhere.

I don’t think it is Arabian. it’s pretty refined though. I’m tempted to think morgan, but I really don’t think so either.

Wow! Thanks! I know He’s got appy in him (he’s not full, definitely), but now I can see he has Oldenberg, Danish and Dutch warmblood, Holsteiner, and other such wonderful breeds in him!

Thank you so MUCH! <3 <3 <3

See, that’s normally helpful to do, but it was a late night and I was very tired and about to call it quits and go to bed, when I found the image. I had the time to save it to the computer, but when I came back the next time around, I could not find the specific pinterest page, nor could I find the image on google. and I don’t have that ability to search google from an image saved on my computer.

But it’s OK, GaitedinCali saved the day!

heh. The guy in the tan coat is silly, whipping the handler. Casanova is a lovely mover.

I used to lease a horse that had the same coloring. He was a Percheron X Appaloosa. He was a great guy.
