What breed is your trail horse?

Yet another Morgan!

5.5 year old Arab/APHA gelding

20 yo Foxtrotter.

One OTTB and one Appendix QH. And both leave just about everyone in the dust, LOL!

A little late with this but my trail horse is a stealth Appaloosa. She has the white around the eyes, stripped hooves, and mottling on her vulva the rest is solid black/brown with a mane and tail that is extremely thick. And I am beginning to conclude after another crazy fast walking trail ride yesterday she’s gaited and does the Indian shuffle. Have to get it on film and see. She is Amish bred (failed at being a cart horse). Supposedly she is half Percheron but no one believes it.

9 year old QH and an unknown aged draftx

8 year old Appendix gelding! He too leaves everyone in the dust

Akhal tekes. Currently my 7 year old homebred mare and a 5 year old gelding

Cheers, Lisa

One is a 17 yo mustang gelding , the other is an 18+yo john mule. I have a yearling molly mule waitin’ in the wings …

QH, but I agree with this:

I think though, with enough desensitizing, and a calm rider, any horse and any breed can be a trail horse.[/QUOTE]
