What color do you like on brindle-colored dogs?

We met our new pooch today! He is a 3 year old brindle Boxer who has been in rescue for several months. My bitch put him in his place and he made googly eyes at her so I think it is a match made in heaven. We will bring him home next week if their second play session goes as well as this one did. He’s cat friendly and has a wonderful temperament - good looking too! Rescue is thrilled that a horse-person-dog-person is bringing him home since he does have a behavioral quirk. Nothing we can’t manage and work on.

We have always had fawn Boxers so I’m daydreaming about what color might look “best” on a big, flashy, brindle boy. I am not crazy about green, and royal blue is retired in our household. I’m thinking marigold yellow but can’t find a nice nylon one online…

Everyone, what colors do you like on your brindled male dogs? Let’s play dress up! I promise to post lots of pics when he makes it to our doorstep! It is going to be a long week!

Robin’s egg blue, or some shade of blue along those lines. And, it’s even a “boy color”

In Google images the most common dog collar color on a brindle seems to be red.

I tend to like collars with a pattern. My lab has the Grateful Dead Dancing Bears

The other dogs all have the Lupine brand. I have used a few different patterns. But all three of my dogs are solid colored. (Not that you can see the color on the Eskimo Dog)

I even have Lupine key chains for most of our car keys. Brightly colored, light weight, color coded for the car and not bulky.

I was going to suggest hunter green… it looks awesome on brindle dogs! Other than that you can’t go wrong with a nice brown leather collar.

I like leather on brindles, the color depending on the shade of brindle. Light brindle- black leather. Mahogany type brindle- a reddish leather.

Dark purple. Brindle dogs look stylish in purple.

I don’t have a preference what color goes with brindle, but I LOVE brindle coloring in any species. Tortoiseshell cats, brindle greyhounds, abyssinian guinea pigs - it’s so beautiful. Picture of the new doggie?
