Finally, finally, finally got a chance to go out to my parents’ place for a few days and see my girls.
There’s no place like home! 
I still like big bits 'cuz I cannot ride, and also haven’t ridden in 3 months and was sore afterward!
Retired life is suiting her.
The little one is looking good too!!
So grateful to my parents for providing a soft landing for both of them at the end of their careers! They deserve it <3

Yep! Theoretically right now I’m just in the DVM portion of my curriculum, but I just couldn’t stay away from research, so now I’m juggling 3 different research projects along with my vet school classes (and have a discussion coming up with one of my advisors about a 4th I thought of yesterday…)! I don’t sleep very much, but getting so much done and hopefully it’ll make an impact!!

I read this as soon as I saw it yesterday and was going to resurrect this thread. Glad you did it, Shorty! I loved it. I think Sly is ADORABLE!!! Look at that face! Glad all are “home” now and loved and cared for.

My condolences on losing your pony.
My dad was out of town and I really didn’t want my mom to have to deal with saying goodbye on her own so I booked a redeye flight out as soon as she called me and said she thought it might be time.
Didn’t tell her in case it was time right then - didn’t want her to wait if she needed to go then - but got lucky that Duckie rallied for a day so we got to spoil the little girl rotten before sending her off.

I hate to post this, but if you can spare any jingles or prayers for Nikki, we’re in dire straits right now. What was mildly colicky turned into apparent septic peritonitis and an abdominal exploratory right now found multiple large masses.
I’m throwing every resource I have at this, but there may be a really hard decision coming tonight. COTH jingles got her through a surgery before… if you can spare some tonight, they are desperately needed
