What do you like reading about in blogs? Edit: she's gone :'''(
I am always into “most useful/best product/tips of the trade” types of posts. Not necessarily most “on trend” but more of an up and coming/what you find works best. Things you love.

So a things you love post? And spinoffs are easy because it can be Top 5 things I love on the road… Top 5 show day must haves… Top 5 riding apparel faves… and so on
I will have to check and make sure I can do this, but if I get the green light, I will definitely add it to the list!

The first draft of the Nikki version of “Behind the Stall Door” is done - I’m selecting pictures now to go along with it, and will send it off for editing after Rolex is done!

Here you go, Behind the Stall Door with Wondermare!

^^^^ Loved the post, good job! (and yay, lots of pictures!)

Great blog post. Love the alligator face pictures and all the funny quirks she has

I love reading your blogs! I really loved this last one. Maybe a “from the horse’s mouth” blog where you write from Nikki’s point of view? (Kind of like the Jitterbug blogs on COTH).

Loved it. This is my favorite:

“If I’m eating something, Nikki has to try it. If she doesn’t like it, she’ll try it a few more times, and then will grab whatever it is out of my hand and drop it on the floor. Apparently if it’s not good enough for her, I shouldn’t eat it either.”

Priceless.

Well, we head out to our first show of the year next week, so hopefully I’ll have some material to write about! We just schooled over a course yesterday and Nikki was great (and super proud of herself - she does this bouncy, prancy walk after she jumps big jumps and she makes me giggle a lot).

For those who thought my blogs last year didn’t have enough adversity in them, rest assured that I had a hardcore “splat” over the weekend after Nikki quite literally jumped me off, and so will definitely be writing about that! Bonus points for getting a free chiropractic adjustment from the ground and for discovering that my back can take a digger like that.

I am in AWE of you, WM & team WM. You area superb writer, also. Now, how did she get to be called Nikki?

Awww…ss, hope you’re feeling better!! Free chiro, can’t wait to hear! Good luck. We’ll be rooting for you.

Good luck! Where are you showing this weekend?

Thank you!

“Nikki” came about because her Jockey Club name is Smoke Free, and the farm that rehabbed her bowed tendon joked about her being no nicotine --> Nikki.

SweetTalk, we’ll be at Mason City in Iowa!

Oh! Forgot Mason City was this weekend. Wish I lived a little closer. Miss horse shows and tired of sitting home with a broken leg. Hubby could drop me ringside and I would be happy as a clam haha.

Have fun, sounds like it should be nice this weekend!

Still cackling over this one:

Now and then, Nikki will decide that she needs to reorganize my trunk. She’ll carefully take things out and place them on the floor before putting them back in the trunk in a different spot. If I put something back in the trunk while she’s doing that, she’ll pick it up, look at me with her ears back, and put it down on the floor.

Update from Mason City: Nikki jumped the only double clear to win the welcome stake today… she is seriously the coolest! I’m so incredibly lucky to have a girl who loves her job so much and is still able to do it.

Uploading video slowly, will add it to this post when it’s done.
Ooooh. Congrats!!! Very exciting

I like mostly humor, but also overcoming whatever it is that almost all of us feel riding (getting nervous for no reason, not being able to see a distance, falling off, feeling like you’re not good enough, having a bad lesson). I like hearing about how people feel this, deal with it, and move on. I also like tried and true tips for riding, those “a ha” moments, and about fitting life decisions in with horses. Love your blog!

Off to an awesome start, supershorty! Great job.

Nice one! Just out of curiosity, did she go into the treble disunited? I can’t quite tell
