What do you like reading about in blogs? Edit: she's gone :'''(

Immortalizing the poem here just in case it poofs on Facebook. Enjoy!

“You like big bits because you cannot ride.
The other brothers can’t deny
When a girl walks in with twiggy little legs
Gag bits and spurs in your face
You get sprung, wanna pull out your tough
‘Cause you notice that girl is stuffed
Deep in delusion thinkin’ she can ride
I’m hooked and I can’t stop staring in my disbelief
Oh baby, I wanna get with you
And give you lessons”

I really enjoyed your blog post! And the way you respond to the haters is impressive and classy.
(I can’t believe I just used “classy” and “haters” successfully in the same sentence. There’s a check off my bucket list!)

JustTheTicket, obviously you’re kidding; if you really meant it, you’d write me a POEM.
Lol. True. Those facebookers put me to shame.

i like reading others’s comment  lol

Latest blog post, featuring 3 beautiful pictures and a video of my highly tortured horse  http://www.chronofhorse.com/article/some-days-youre-windshield-some-days-youre-bug

Check out the COTH Facebook post for fun things like poems about how I can’t ride and abuse poor, poor Nikki
Always have to remember my name & face is attached to my facebook page. Must remain professional. But I would like to point out that whenever people give themselves exclusive rights aka “I am the only one that the owners would let come near them”, “I took on the dangerous ones no one could touch”. Makes me roll my eyes and think YEP IM SUREEEE THATS THE STORY. Thank you for some Tuesday night entertainment!

Love the blogs, love hearing about Nikki and her poptarts. Keep them coming

I read through “I like big bits 'cause I cannot ride” right before the GP last night.

Then we jumped double clear and I rode the jumpoff going for the win (I actually galloped to the last oxer!) and ended up second. Amy Hunter won and she told me I had her in the JO until the turn to the last line, and I’m totally cool with that because at least I went for it!

TAKE THAT, HATERS!

Also, this is the 5th time we’ve done the prix at this show, and the 4th time we’ve been second. If only there were a bridesmaid award!!

New blog is up: http://www.chronofhorse.com/article/love-my-horse

Featuring fun things like a brief mention of changing barns, a lengthy section about my choice of bit (break out the pitchforks!!!), and a video of the most precious mare around. And a really good picture over a triple.

Totally off topic, but while reading through your blog post today, I got to thinking about your mare and her age. What are you going to do when she does eventually retire? Get a young one? WB or another TB? Haven’t really thought about it yet? Just curious. Maybe you could blog about that next.

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts about this too, tho I know it’s a rather personal question to ask. I also bought a now-19-year-old TB mare 10 years ago. She’s only doing the 3’ eq with me at a limited number of shows now, but it’s still a looming question. Are there signs you’re looking for to let you know when your mare needs to step down?

I liked the bit description. It’s helpful. I have a horse I am thinking of using one on when jumping. Lovely pictures, as always!! Haters, go away! It’s so obvious love and care go into every decision you make with Nikki! It’s refreshing.

Cry.

Haven’t quite gotten that far yet, will depend on whether I’m in school at that point or not…

I don’t think supershorty is going to be given the chance to decide for herself , there are TB trainers lining up to give her some nice OTTB prospects Wink, Wink, I’m not kidding …

Hey Supershorty, are you going to Harrisburg or was that a fig newton of my imagination? I was hoping to know which division/class you were in, so I can make sure to watch online if possible…

I’m going! I’ll be there for the AO jumpers, I show Thurs 10/15, Friday, and Saturday.

I’ll be watching you, assuming the online coverage is available.

Good luck!

Online coverage on Equestrian Sports Network!

I am very much looking forward to watching you and Niki go.

Someone is going to have to remind us when the time live stream is about ready!

Don’t scour the livestream waiting for us to go; I scratched today. Nikki is okay, but was not quite herself in the GP at the Harvest show over the weekend, and I want to figure out if something is bothering her. I owe her the best and more, and it would not be in her best interest to take her to Harrisburg to jump big jumps in a small ring right now.

For reasons unrelated to ending our year early (or anything to do with Nikki), I think I’m going to take a step back from posting on the forums or my blog for a little while. You all are wonderful, I just need a break from some of the negativity that has been directed my way, and for my sanity, I’m going to take some time to just appreciate the little mare with the biggest heart and not worry about what other people say.

Mostly a lurker here, but just wanted to say I’ll miss reading your posts. Remember that the people you hear from most on the internet are generally the loudest ones, not necessarily the ones with anything of value to contribute… Good luck to you and your special mare!
