Thanks all! Excited to get started, although I’d be lying if I said I’m not a little sad* about certain chapters of my life starting to come to a close.

That’s so awesome! Congratulations! In hindsight I wish I had done a DVM/PhD instead of the straight PhD. It would be awesome if you blogged a bit about it, but I understand not wanting to feed the crazy. Congrats again!

A week from today, Nikki and I will head to a show for the last time in our 10-year career together. Is there a smiling/crying emoji? 
So here’s some fun throwbacks from when I tried her (or she tried me?) and our first big prix together (where we used up all of the lucky rubs for the rest of our jumper career; neither of us had jumped a course that big before).
It’s impossible to look back on what we’ve done and not be happy. On the same note, it’s impossible to realize it’s coming to a close and not be sad, because there is no feeling like landing off the last fence in a prix clear and feeling like it was easy for her. Going to miss that so much.
Hopefully I can keep it together and have one hell of a blog post to write.
You and Nikki rock, SS!!
