But I would still like to know whether “banned” means that Boardrules, like being polite to each other don’t apply anymore.
Keep conversations productive, on topic and civil.
Discussion and disagreement are inevitable and encouraged; personal insults, diatribes and sniping comments are unproductive and unacceptable. Whether a subject is light-hearted or serious, keep posts focused on the current topic and of general interest to other participants of that thread. Utilize the private message feature or personal email where appropriate to address side topics or personal issues not related to the topic at large.
We don’t have to be polite. Or “nice.” The terms of service requires that we be productive, on topic and civil.
Manni’s posts in this thread fail two out of the three criteria, but apparently, no one’s reporting them.
As far as personal insults go, I did say, and will own up to saying, that a banned post was “not a terribly balanced individual”, based on their other social media postings. Not a personal insult, because the person wasn’t identified. And in fact, was misidentified because the whole thread very deliberately avoided naming names. Not a personal insult because the poster had been banned and won’t be able to read what was posted. “Not a terribly balanced individual?” If you consider that an insult, I assure you, you have led an exemplary and very sheltered life.
If I actually decide to deliver an insult (unlikely, but I’m warming up to the idea) there will be nothing vague or mild about it, and NO ONE will be in any doubt that my intent was to deliver an insult.
