I believe his “farm” is for sale, or in bankruptcy. They just sold off all the exotics.

second link stated the horses (no number provided) are still Newton’s as there are issues between the company that owns the land (in bankruptcy) and Newton as to which horses were put in which of the six pastures
If you step back to look at this it may give you a hint as to the future of the United States which as Newton believes it is still the force to be dealt with in much as Newton believes he is Mr. Las Veges, if we continue to outspend our nations income we as a nation will have the come to Jesus meeting with China or whom ever else holds our (OK our children’s) obligations, we will not be able to discharge the debt as the government did for General Motors
Yes it appears Newton still has his horses, for now.
I flew in over his property a few months ago and no animals of any kind were visible. I suppose they could have been inside somewhere but that seems unlikely. Did get a really cool view of his jet however!
My first reaction to this was: Really? Wayne Newton is still alive? Second reaction: And he has a wife???

all his ‘exotic’ animals just were sold ( at about a hundred bucks a head) to a zoo.
Wish one of his Arabians would find its way to my barn …sigh…

CF-yes he did, as I recall. And it’s the second wife now I think. He was married years ago, and then remarried a few years ago.
I remember seeing a tour of his stables year ago, and they were huge. Considering the heat in Vegas, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out they were inside for everything in the nice air conditioning. And it could be that he moved the horses elsewhere.

Yes, that happened to me, too. When I flew in for the world cup, we flew right over his place. Knew it was his place because I saw the jet in the “backyard.”
IIRC the 1st bankruptcy was helped by his business manager. Unfortunately not uncommon in the world of artists and pro sports. The individual is very good at their chosen vocation and their agent and/or business manager is good at spending their money. Of course there are those who spend their own money very, very quickly.
Haven’t heard about Newton’s recent financial problems. It is a shame as he is, to the best of my knowledge, is well respected by fellow musicians and entertainers. He is incredibly gifted and has worked most of his life.
I hope for a “happy” ending for all involved.

It’s such a shame. Mr. Newton always seemed to take great care of the horses, and really seemed to want to advance the breed. I can certainly guess that the horse expenses were a lot of the financial drain, and his estate must take a ton of maintenance, not to mention the jet. I do remember that he was a single father for many years, until he remarried, and you never heard anything bad about him as a person, or as a horse owner.
I remember a few seasons ago on Next Design Star they remade his guest house, and it looked really nice before and after. And I remember they had houses tours of his place years ago. It certainly was impressive. And I’ve always heard that he was very generous with his time and money for charities, and especially for veterans charities.
I’m so old I remember him with his first national appearances, and his first big hit.
He is not maintaining the jet to fly. They didn’t even fly it to Las Vegas.
This is sad indeed. As a kid I leased a horse that was bought from an earlier sell off of Wayne Newton’s Aramus Arabians. He was a son of Blusprucetanzeer. He was small, but so gorgeous and a fun horse to ride. I definitely agree that Newton was great for the breed!

NO. It is CSD LLC, the entity that purchased entertainer Wayne Newton’s Casa de Shenandoah ranch in June 2010 and began renovating it into a Graceland in the desert, was placed in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
Newton is a minority owner of CSD LLC
That sounds like a better situation for him at least.

You just made my freakin’ week!!! We saw Tom Jones in comcert 6 years ago and it was unbelievable, my husband thought we would see an old man in a creaky walker. . . not so at all. Sorry not horse related.

He has halter arabs. Not very rideable. Beautiful though. Very.
