What horsey things do you do in non-horse situations?

Doc wrap?

Gallon jug of Trainer’s Choice next to Gramps chair.

Vetwrap for use in human patients is Coban, a 3M trade name. There may be other generics available.

For years when I was treating humans and wrapping injuries with Kerlix bandage wrap, I wished for something like human Vetwrap.

The reason it was not available to use in humans was the concern that in inexperienced hands it was too easy to apply too tightly and would impede blood flow.

Coban by 3M in 4 inch x 5 yard rolls is about $3.40 per roll in today’s
marketplace. I shudder to think what an ER will charge for the same roll.

I think the generic term is cohesive bandage roll.

I raid my horses’ SMZs when needed. It’s much easier than getting a prescription from my doc. And it’s always worked.

Back in the 80s and 90a adding Banamine to orange juice was a common hangover remedy (or so I heard ).

I also lunge my blind Peke. I can’t let him off lead safely, and he’s learned that when he runs in a circle around me, I won’t let him bump into anything.

You know what else they tried to sell vetwrap for?

Wrapping flower stems for bouquets…they sold it at Meijers in the floral department. I had to make my husband backtrack all the way across the store to show him in person! He was thrilled! NOT. I am not sure it became a thing as I haven’t seen it since.

I ordered coban in bulk when I worked for a Home Infusion pharmacy & could use their discount.
Also had a gallon of betadine = Lifetime Supply

Haha me too - I “sit hard on my outside seatbones” going around corners in my car!

And vice versa.
It’s the same pill.

I speak to my toddler and OTTB in the same voice when either of them is upset/ spooky about something. With the long drawn out voice drop at the end.
‘It’s okayyyyyyy’
‘Easyyyyyy’

I constantly count my strides when walking down any sidewalk or wherever there are lines in the flooring. I hate that about myself! I annoy myself, haha. And I make sure I get a good distance, and never stop on the cracks or “chip”. It’s easier on my own two feet than it is on my horse’s four. Ha. I’m sure when I’m walking with someone they wonder why my strides change.
