What is going rate for dry stalls?

My place is way more than I need with my four horses. I am eventually going to find a trainer that wants to come keep some horses here and train out of here. What is the going rate for dry stalls?

Stalls will be nice 12 x 12 conventional stalls. One sand arena, 220 x 115. Manicured and fenced grass arena 220 x 160. Bathroom, tack room, trails. Plenty of turnout.

West of Austin.

You might want to update with your location - it will vary wildly based on where you’re located. Outside of Austin, right?

As others have or will say it all depends on location, supply and demand, facilities.

Around here with basically the same as you have outlined, With a fair few small paddocks for individual turn out, 2 or 3 at most. Larger paddocks for larger groups, Good grass which this area generally has lot of, good fencing. $150 but more like $200 per stall. Bare bones, $100.

Most people around here want or would like to have an indoor also. The above with an indoor, $250-$300+ depending on the size of the indoor, quality of jumps and ride-ability on a larger property, 50+ acres. This is a big Eventing area so X country course is a big plus. As the Chronicle recently wrote about the area, Eventing Mecca.

Not to highjack the thread but consistent with the question asked … I’d be interested in any input re dry stall rate in or around Ocala, Florida. Concrete block stable with all amenities, covered arena, grass pastures for turnout. And whether rate is seasonal or year-round. Anyone?

Looks like it’s not really a thing there.
The only thing I found with pricing online, or really that even states they offer self-care board or dry stalls, was outside Houston at $160/month.
Your best bet is to probably contact other boarding barns, see if they offer it, and ask what their prices are.

The full care prices around Austin look similar to or a bit higher than here in central Florida (Ocala). Here, dry stalls are anywhere from $200-500/month, and often increase during HITS season.

Most places don’t exactly advertise their dry stall rates… but when a trainer is looking to lease a facility, or a block of stalls in a facility, then there is a number.

You could contact trainers or local farms to ask them the dry stall rate, to get an idea of how your facility stacks up.
