The cover photo of our silver medal dressage team, Steffan Peters wears white breeches but has on blue checkered something over his knees Long Johns? Just curious as to what these are. Do these not show when in person or are these picked up when photographed, like a white bra under a black leotard?
If these are long johns, I would think in the heat of Tokyo, these would be unbearable.
I think it is just part of the gripping pattern of his breeches, dirtier in some places than others.
You can see some of the same dirt pattern, but not grip pattern on the breeches to the left too.
Looks like there is pattern (white on white) on the full seat (leather/silicon?) and the black from the saddle has rubbed off onto them while riding. I haven’t noticed his saddle but if the knee blocks are on the outside, that would explain the black rubbing off onto his knees.
Just looks like regular saddle staining to me, not long johns
