Hi,
I have no idea what the answer is!!! When i search the forums, and that “opposite of a hunch/old pasture puff topline” question comes up, i can’t get past it. I have to refresh the page and hope a different question pops up.
Please clue me in! Pm is fine :).
Really? Eight letters, starts with s. Can’t give it away for the spammers but every horseman should know it.
Maybe if it said opposite of a hunchback (or roached back) that would make more sense. I wouldn’t have gotten it either without Laurie’s clue. When I read hunch I was thinking of the type a detective might have, not a hunchback.
Wow, it took me awhile to puzzle that out, too. I read the clue as “opposite of a hunch”/ “opposite of a pasture puff topline.”
How about this instead–topline commonly seen in aged horses, pasture puffs or elderly broodmares?
Here’s the question, for those who are curious: “Opposite of a hunch, when it comes to your old pasture puff’s top line.”
The question accepts all sorts of variations of the “s” word, for what it’s worth, but OP, if you log into your account, you won’t need to answer any questions when you use the search feature.
Try clicking the “remember me” box when you log in, if you’re having trouble being logged out of your account recently.
Thanks and our apologies for the confusion! We’ve had to make the questions a bit riddle-like to make them effective against the spammers. If it’s something that can be Googled, they will and do. Grrrr.
Thanks for your persistence!

aha! Thank you! it seems so obvious now.
I was definitely focused on the 2nd definition like furlong suggested.
Thanks all for the tips and tricks.
This one also still has me ??? Opposite of a hunch… fact? Old pasture puff topline…weak loin connection?, no muscle?,
I have missed this many times before just finally getting it. I think, but the real reason I don’t get it is that the word does not describe old horse’s back, but one with a problem, usually all their life, or damage, so it is never one that comes to mind for old. I am definitely not new to horses either, just this s/n
