Is there a synthetic western saddle that actually is balanced so your head, hips and heels are in alignment? thanks.
(is the wintec western saddle generally acknowledged as the worst?)

Is there a reason you have to have synthetic? In my opinion the answer is none of them. I have tried a few and every single one put me in a chair seat and also made my hips hurt like crazy. The seats were like trying to straddle a table. I also found that synthetic fenders never really break in, and aren’t very comfortable in that reguard either.
I do not know personally, but have heard that the Fabtron Lady Trail is less of a chair seat than many others.
Also, I once saw the Fabtron Cross Trail saddle (not a synthetic) described as the western saddle that a dressage rider would design.
I have an older Big Horn with cordura nylon fenders and skirts, the rest leather. I don’t know what the newer ones are like. It’s my go-to saddle because of its balanced seat.
Fabtron has its stirrups positioned correctly. I guess. The stirrups on my Lady Trail were. Recently received a new Fabtron with semi QH bars but haven’t tried it yet. I’m hoping the stirrup position is the same.
Do you need semi or FQHB?
I have a friend who had a really nice looking big horn and she liked it comfort wise but her mare Hated it! She went to a traditional saddle and all of the tail swishing ect went away.
OK. Tried this Fabtron Round Skirt saddle on my new horse this morning. Stirrups allow your feet to be under your hips, so you can post without lunging forward.
I use it with this western thinline pad with the bridge inserts (as my gelding has a little bit of a dropped back).
Very comfortable for us both.

Same here. Feels like a good dressage saddle.
