I am looking online at used show coats and aside from the price difference between ones with Hadfield’s name on it, is there a big quality difference? It’s hard to tell just from pictures. What is the cost of a new Hadfield’s coat? Thanks!
Grand Prix coats are made by a Canadian company, and if I’m not mistaken, Hadfields by Cindy Hadfield thru a few different (American-made) product lines. I don’t think they’re at all related.
I could be way off the mark, so feel free to correct me if so.
Hadfields also sells other brands, Pikeur, Samshield, Helly Hansen, etc., in addition to their own line so it might just be a regular Grand Prix coat that was purchased at Hadfields. Why not email Hadfields and ask them?

That company is Frantisi.
Thank you for the replies. The label says “Made for Hadfield’s Saddlery by Grand Prix”. I was curious if the coats are the same quality as Grand Prix or better since the prices I’ve seen are higher for the Hadfield’s.

I don’t have one of each, but I do own a couple GP coats. They’re nice, durable and decently made. They were purchased new in the $300-$350 range, if I remember correctly. I like them, but the difference in quality is evident between that and a $500+ jacket.
It’s usually special fabrics. My GPs all say made for Beval Saddlery…
It’s just special order fabric. Otherwise no substantive difference.
