Yes, partly it is a matter of education and awareness on the part of the breeder, and partly on the part of the person that buys the puppies. Puppy buyers need to be aware that they can, and should, ask for various health clearances of the parents, even particularly if it is a working or performance dog that they are paying big bucks for.
Nice if it is a mini lavender with yellow eyes…even better if the parents are OFAd and in the CHIC database!
Are you breeding to improve the breed, or breeding to produce puppies? There’s a fundamental difference in approach/philosophy/mentality.
Does your “breed” have a national parent club? Do they have a code of ethics?

Both the coat color and the eye colors are faults and not recognized in ACDs. Though since I guess there is no registry or parent club for Minis they can do as they please…
