your candor cracked me up! Oh being a trophy wife sounds so nice sometimes!
Licensed real estate broker somewhat retired in that I do consulting for a local 4 office company and handle their referrals and internet leads. only practice real estate now for friends. We own 2 light industrial buildings which keep my husband busy and pays the majority of our bills. Have one 22 year old horse I still ride for fun - retired hunter/jumper.
Court reporter. I am basically a fly on the wall during depositions. Every day is different!
I am an attorney. I represent businesses in the death care profession.
I teach part time in the spring and fall at a community college. When classes are in session, I train and teach riding lessons in the afternoons and on weekends. During the summer, it’s full time horses, or as much as the heat will allow. I’m so grateful to have students that are flexible and work with my schedule! I have two jobs that I absolutely love and they help make that possible!
I am currently a SAHM. I used to manage a bank, but came home when my husband got a General Manager position with a company (prior to that he was a SAHD).
Now that my youngest is 3 1/2 I am studying for my real estate license and plan to start hopefully by the time the kids go back to school in August.
I would like very much to be a trophy wife, but I’m pretty sure that whatever the definition of that is, I am the opposite.
work for an airline in San Francisco.
I’m a stay at home mum who bakes pony party cakes on the side to cover my (incredibly low because I ride national EU shows) show costs. I have one Horse crazy 7 year old and a son who prefers soccer. I cover pony riding duties once or twice a week on top of my Horse duties.
Hahaha well thank you! It’s certainly not a bad gig. I have plenty of time for ponies but not as much disposable income for horse shows
Currently a stay at home dog and horse mom (three dogs and two horses at home) but once our current property sells will be buying a larger property and will start boarding horses and offering retirement board.
Oh that must be interesting at times!
I do community-level drug and alcohol prevention. Important but at times disheartening work. Pays the bills but definitely not pony-level bills so i’m horseless indefinitely.
Some days really are. Other days, B-O-R-I-N-G. Had a deposition recently where the witness bought a two-year-old Paint filly for his non-experienced young kids. His estimates for farrier work? $60.00 twice a year for trimming. I had to bite my tongue that day.
Oh, the stories I could tell…
Retired middle school teacher-retired after 36 years of teaching. Now, mostly caregiver for my husband.
Buyer of tack, feed, and animal health products for a farm store chain. Pretty fun, and the discount is great, so it really helps keep the farm bills down.
College professor–I teach composition and linguistics courses.
I am a legal assistant and also do bookkeeping on the side, as well as some house-sitting.It pays the bills on my retired horse but my husband and I don’t make enough for me to have a horse and compete.
I’m a Product Development Engineer for a chemical specialties company with a focus on sustainable product development and marketing. My husband is also a Product Development Engineer with a fortune 500 company focused more on statistical data analysis and consumer studies. Our combined income allows for me to pay for one retired fat mooch pony and for one competition horse with monthly shows.
I’m a systems engineer specializing in testing pre-market jet engines. I might have a slight adrenaline problem.
