Any recommendations? Thanks!
Tempura. Water based and washes/brushes right off.
NOT crayola chalk paint. I tried that one year with no luck at all. It didn’t show up.
Ahh the memories!
I used to go to a really fun schooling show where we had a Halloween party the night before then the show the next day. There were a lot of zebras, skeletons, and prisoners jumping around the next day. Whatever they had been painted with most DEFINITELY didn’t come off!
Tempra. My B/Os lesson horses are painted regularly, usually on the last day of camp. It will wash out. Even when left it will eventually all disappear, as long as it rains at some point.
I used Apple Barrel paint (from Walmart in the craft section) this past weekend to paint my mare, it curries off. If it wasn’t too cold to use water, it would curry off even easier.
This is where I stole my idea from:

I found cheap nontoxic washable paint at Hobby Lobby to make my giraffe:
Washed out great!
What a timelyl thread! I was about to ask this question of you guys!
Was going to paint a skeleton on my gelding, but my husband thought of a funnier idea. I am going to paint him to look like my pinto mare and see how the other horses react to him.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who caught that. And I had the same thought! A little horse tempura w/ rice? Maybe a spring roll…
I did this during vet school for our open house. Kids washable poster paint works great! It also looks best on a clipped horse.
