You can fit a lot on the road id standard bracelet if you are creative. I don’t have mine in front of me, but I think it has
Name/DOB
2 emergency #s for me
1 emergency # for horses (the barn - even if I am at a show, people there will know how to get them home etc)
1 line with drug allergy + “No Meds”
1 line with date of last concussion
Anyone have any XC boots that they can’t live without??? lol

No boots… I mean… I love my WOOF boots… they’re very old (like, ten years old)… but I don’t use them daily.
I love my Thinline - I ride in that every day:

And I love my Riding Sport winter breeches… they are awesome… rode last week in the negatives/single digits with windchill and felt nothing!

I should clarify – my horse** can’t live without his Thinline pad and the BOT saddle pad… he is remarkably more loose in both.
I’ve been super happy with my new Gen 2 Majyk Equipe XC boots. I did a comparison review with the Gen 2 vs the Gen 1 here: http://the900facebookpony.com/2015/12/23/majyk-equipe-gen-2-xc-boot-review/
Otherwise, as far as equipment goes the only big thing that I’ve updated in the past year is my XC vest. I got an Airowear to replace my old Tipperary and have been happy with it. Definitely feel like I have a lot more protection in the Airowear. Still love my PS of Sweden bridles, too.
For non-essential but considerably more fun purchases, I’m digging my navy Lorenzinis, custom Samshield, and can’t WAIT for my custom Winston jacket to arrive. The only thing better than nice stuff is nice stuff that color coordinates.
Since I’m now broke from the Winston (don’t even care, I love it so much), if I ever win the lottery that I never play I might look at some custom I-Quip gloves. Taryn Nolte (Tarypen Equestrian) is their US rep and they look really nice.
I love my Woof and Thinline boots too, I use the Woofs all the time for flatting and the Thinline open fronts when I jump. basic but good. I also use Heidis when the weather is good but they get soggy when it is muddy.
I have some Equilibriums that are super nice and lightweight, they are pretty cool. Very breathable and great in summer so I save them for hot temps. I have a few horses and always use boots so have quite a few sets.
Don’t like my Premier XC boots, they are too tall for my TBs and twist around. But they seem to be very popular for eventers. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Maybe they will fit my KWPN when she grows up.
Oh, the other super cool thing I bought this year is an Invictus half pad. It is really cool material and very high quality. I like it tons better than my Ogilvy one. It is a little thicker than the Thinline which I needed for one horse – very very marginally so but with the shims definitely – and is shimmable which my Thinline is not, though I think you can get shimmable Thinlines. It is also a lovely rich chocolate color. Horse seems to like it.

Ironic, I recently did a post about those half pads too! http://the900facebookpony.com/2016/02/10/the-great-half-pad-debate/

I saw the graph but was skeptic - only because it was published by the company trying to promote the item…
I’m hoping to see more of them in my neck of the woods before dropping the $$ into an unknown name - it’s too bad my Invictus is gone, it would have been perfect to be riding Invictus in an Invictus saddle pad

I too am skeptic but I’ve been craving comparison data for so long, anything is interesting at this point. I hope there is more to come, and from an independent tester would be nice.
I did quite like the pads when I saw them in person, they had a pretty interesting feel to them when you squished it. Not sold on anything until the horse approves it of course, but interesting none the less.
Well, if you look at the data their pad doesn’t swamp all the other pads in all the categories. If they had skewed the data you’d think they’d skew it in their favor a bit stronger. That makes it look somewhat believable to me.
But I mostly bought the pad because it fits exactly what I needed which was something between a Supracor and a Thinline in thickness that was stiffish, not memory foam and that had good spinal relief and this is perfect. Ticks all those boxes.

I love my PEI xc boots. They are amazing.
My daughter uses the ROAD ID medical bracelet and loves it. She rides in the Pony Club also and these things are required on the bracelet for Pony Club. She also wears it for recognized events with no problems. We do not use the interactive bracelet as she doesn’t have any medical issues or medications:
Medical Bracelets must visibly list these five items on them: (a) Name and Date of Birth, (b) Emergency Contact Information, © Known Allergies, (d) Current
Medications, and (e) Existing Medical Conditions. More information is acceptable, but these five items are required to be on the bracelet.

what if you do not have any existing med conditions or allergies? do you just omit that line?
i think i want one. but want to make sure i order everything perfectly first.
For no allergies write: NKDA; for no medical conditions write: No PMHx. These can go on one line and give you an extra space for emergency contacts (I have 2)
Here’s a $1 off coupon code for RoadID, should anyone need one: TAFZQBNF7VM

Glad to see someone else likes the XCountry boots. I saw them last month at the trade show and ordered a pair. Are you really able to use them without tape as they claim? Even if I do need to tape them, I really liked how they felt and the protection they offered.

I taped mine when I first got them (trust issues) but then stopped, and I’ve never had them move even in really gross conditions. Seems like we ran half of our HT’s last year in the mud!
Really like the new leather stud closure open front boots that they have coming out, can’t wait to get my hands on them.

I have the first generation ones and I’ve been using them for 2 years (I think?) without ever taping them, including two long format 3 days where my horse wore them for the entirety of endurance day and some seriously gross xc conditions in pouring rain and 8-9" deep mud at approaches.
