What size 'carport' to park a LQ under?

I have a 3H GN with 10’ LQ. I’d like to get quotes on a pole barn or RV Carport, but I’m not clear on desired height, or even width…I’d also like to park the dually under the same roof … and maybe the tractor. And maybe the Mule, too.

this shed could be huge and I don’t want it to be too huge.

So the LQ is 33’ long, 8’ wide, 7’6" tall.

is 40X20 way too small? I would unhook the truck and could park it next to the LQ on one side, leaving room on the other for the tractor (50 HP) and the mule?

Do I ‘need’ 40 X 60? that just seems monstrous but the man it thinking 40X60…

Bigger is always better??

It’s better to have too much space than not enough???

I think the 40x20 would fit the dually and trailer fine, but may be cramped with the tractor and mule. Would it be an option to put overhangs off the sides? If you did that then it would make it into approx. a 40x40 or a 40x44 and that should be enough?

It’s all a cost/reward analysis. If you can afford to go bigger and have the space to do it then I would. If space and budget are an issue then go with the minimum and lay it out with an option to add on later if needed?

whatever we do requires grading, removing trees, bigggg trees. I am going to cover that LQ, while the mule already has a spot.

so I’m trying to find ‘right’- nothing we own is flat

Did you just ask this same question on Facebook? In the Horse Trailer Conversion group? Because I’m not trying to be creepy but… I KNOW WHO YOU ARE

You will need at least 50’ for the truck and trailer hooked up.

Wouldn’t leave them hooked up.

Shhh Yankee

OK, then 54’…

Consider your height carefully. There will be things on top of your LQ. Air conditioner, hay rack, etc. You may not have XXX now but think of the future.

I have a 10 foot clear shed … Wish I had 14 foot
