@enjoytheride would you mind sharing a photo of your channel setting ring? Am searching for a tough ring to wear all the time but would still like to have some sparkle in it.
Congrats!!! Maybe you should wear some type of riding glove over it, to protect it. If I was in the same situation as you, I would wear maybe a slightly baggy glove so your ring doesn’t get caught on anything. Just an idea:o But, really, the best idea would be to leave it home, because you don’t want to lose it or break it.
Leave it home or in the car, please !!
That’s beautiful and exactly what I was considering myself, thanks!
EqRider - Congrats.
For safety sake leave the ring at home.
A ring is just a symbol. Your heart should tell you to protect it from harm and loss. Why wear any nice jewelry to the barn? You know you are engaged. Your fiancé knows too. No need to display it. Your horse doesn’t care.
I wear a family heirloom ring. My husband’s grandmother was married with this ring in a Japanese American Internment camp. It means a lot to him, and that aside, it’s art deco and big and beautiful and two pieces (ring, plus a protective bridge that wraps under and around both sides). It does not go to the barn. I take it off in the car, wrap in my “ring napkin” that I have saved, and I stash it in a safe place in my car.
In the rare occasion that I forget to take it off before the barn, I’ll either attach to my key ring (I have a snap ) and put that in the safest place I can, or if I’m getting on the horse, I’ll put it in my safest pocket and zip that up tight.
Better safe than sorry! Leave it snug in your jewelry box, next to the dangle earrings.
