What to name a Police Horse?

The Churchill Downs Foundation is donating a horse to LMPD’s Mounted Patrol – and you can help name the new horse between now and Oct. 23 on Churchill Downs’ Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram accounts.

The top five names will be voted on by the community. The winning name and horse will be presented at Churchill Downs on Oct. 30.

book 'em Danno

I’m voting for Horsey McHorseface.

They had better put a caveat on there that they choose the final name and not commit that the public does. Otherwise I guarantee it’s going to be Coppy McCopFace or some variant thereof.

Already taken.

I do like Danno, though.

I like LEO. Cute short name and it stands for Law Enforcement Officer.

My (fading) memory tells me I’ve seen an article/TV segment on police horses where each horse was named for an officer killed in the line of duty.
I thought this was a touching tribute.
Found it:

LOL, the street dudes here call the cops 5-0 and have done so since the original Hawaii 5-0 went on TV.

I’d at least give him a title with his name, Sergeant with a cool name. or Lt. or Captain. or Police Chief.

Or Hawaii 5-0
