I finally took the plunge and bought my first pair of white breeches but…they are so see through! What under garments are available so every cottage cheese lump and bump isn’t visible to the naked (no pun intended) eye? I have Spanx but I hate that line across the thigh. Suggestions?
I wear flesh coloured knock of spanx that come down to mid calf… no lines, they smooth out the wobbly bits but aren’t as thick in warmer weather 
(flesh coloured also means they don’t show under the whites!)

That’s kind of what I was thinking but wondered if there were other choices out there. Where do you get them Eclipse?
Life’s too short for cheap white breeches. Take them back and buy some in a heavier fabric.

Suggestions on brands?
You could always do nude colored leggings (calf or full length) as well. I’ve gotten some cheapos from Wally World for like $6/pair. I have some super thin comfy ones or for winter riding I also have comfy thick warming ones. Not sure how well it would work to camouflage what you want, but for $6/pair or so worth testing it out.
I r like ovation breeches and have several pair for showing…no see through and usually around $100.

If you want to go higher end the Horse Pilot ones are really nice and have dual layer compression material that hides everything. And as a bonus they are super comfy.

Years ago I remember a friend of mine said she wore nothing!
Not me though.
I dont think I’d wear white breeches anymore! But when I did, I wore white pantyhose under them. Helped avoid the velcro irritating my leg too.

Opaqueness is not related to price! I have inexpensive white Dublin and Tuffrider breeches (I like these but looks like they’re not available now: https://www.amazon.com/TuffRider-Lad…H40?th=1&psc=1) that are not see through, and I returned far more expensive ones (don’t recall the brand) because they were see through.
I wear nude for me thongs under, ones like hanky panky with no show lace.

Just got back from target and while they had lots of short shaping wear, nothing mid calf. I bought a pair of the Spanx hose with a built in shaping top, longer than typical control top.
I use riding specific underwear that goes down to just below your knee. No lines. I forget what the brand is, but Dover’s carries it I think,

Sometimes I find shapewear that’s not meant for riding to be slippery underneath my breeches and I hate that feeling.
I wear opaque white tights / pantyhose
I ordered a pair of the white Ovations and the Fits Wonderbreech or whatever it’s called. I used to have a pair but don’t know what happened to them. I’ve always had good luck with the fit of the Ovations. I couldn’t find any opaque white tights at the store last night so went with the spanx hose. Thanks for all the great suggestions
I wear shaping underwear in a size too large (because I don’t want to be squeezes while riding!) with lace edges to they don’t have a line mid-thigh. Tan colored - white shows through white, skin colored doesn’t (so depends on your skin color, obviously.)
I go up a size…less stretch =less see thru.
