What underwear are we riding in to avoid lines through breeches?

Getting back into dressage after riding exclusively western for the last several years. Got some nice riding leggings/stretchy breeches but wow the panty lines are bad. You are never going to catch me riding in a thong, so what underwear are we wearing to ride in? Must fit a size 16-18 woman.

I really like the Under Armour No Show line. They come in hipster, bikini and thong. As in I’ve basically thrown out all of my other underwear :grinning:

We’re supposed to wear underwear? :flushed:

Sorry. Just kidding.

I haven’t worn stretchy legging-type breeches in eons, but under my show breeches and my close fitting showmanship pants I wore these. I like them because they have a higher waist.

I love Jockey’s Cotton Comfies. The cotton ones, not the microfiber (the cotton ones don’t chafe when riding).

I just do not worry about visible panty lines.

If you (general) are staring at my backside and are offended by my choice of underwear, then it is a you problem, not a me problem.

Might as well make my first post about underwear:)

I like the Thigh Society thigh length briefs? boxers? underwear? not sure what to call them exactly:). I found that no matter what type of brief I rode in, they always moved around or rode up. So these thigh length ones are super comfy for me. They aren’t shapewear so there’s no compression (which I like). I get the longest length which stops right above my knee… Yes - if you look closely you can sometimes seem the seam by my knee…but personally I don’t care. The don’t chafe at all (for me at least). They certainly aren’t cheap but I really like them.

There are other brands/styles - these ones worked well for me because they were super lightweight.

Edit - I guess they have come out with longer lengths (like capris) since I last bought. So I get the 12" personally.

I love them. Second this recommendation. I have both the bikini and thong. Plus the fabric is so smooth and very comfortable. My first set is about five years old and still looks good.

I wear period panties cause sometimes my horse will be silly and my bladder doesn’t work as well after 3 kids. Better to have panty lines than pee on myself is my motto.

Soma Invisible Edge!

:+1: it’s a good motto.

I can’t wear cotton because it rubs me the wrong way so I love the high cut nylon ones like Wacoal and others make.

Okay, I bought some of these. Do they not ride up? What keeps them on your legs? I know that sounds like a silly question.

I guess you mean ride up as in getting scootched into my lady regions (?).

I guess I don’t have that problem. I have very slim legs and usually I suffer from Baggy Butt, if that revealing bit of info helps.

Similar underwear in a boy short style works, too. But I’m definitely a fan of higher waists.

I gotta say, try riding in a thong. I’ve ridden in thongs for like 25 years to avoid panty lines while showing. I think they’re comfy and mostly wear thongs. Check out ThirdLove underwear. They mostly don’t have seams on any of their underwear. I love their underwear.

While Woxers are no good for super hot weather or see-through tights-adjacent breeches, they have worked well for me in a time when my decade-old 100 percent cotton Jockeys are not my jam. Well, they are jamming, just in the wrong places.

Tempting as the colors and designs are, under white dressage breeches, I’d go for beige.

Same…somehow they don’t give you a wedgie as opposed to regular underwear that does. I feel like this thread is veering close to inverness territory…
