I’ve got a mare that’s spent the better part of six months on antibiotics, but I think we’re finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Vet recommends the Platinum Performance probiotics but I’ve not been terribly impressed using in the past. What’s the latest and greatest in probiotics these days (especially after abx therapy?)
I have had good success with GutWerks by HorseTech and often add “Succeed” for a few months, after antibiotics, pain meds, de-worming — just anything because my fellas are 26 & 28:)
I’ve been satisfied with GutWerks for several years but there’s always a chance some “new kid on the block”, I am not familiar with, will trump it in efficacy:)

I do a small bucket (5lb I think) of Equine DFM from Nature’s Farmacy after antibiotics. Was recommended to me by my trimmer and nutrition guru.
Gutwerks is a great product.
