What's Your Favorite Bit

I tried the double jointed NovoContact as it was promoted as being good for a horse that braces against the bit. We had a couple of rides of “oh, new! Better!”, but then back to bracing. Finally went with a Myler loose ring, much thinner diameter than my KK Ultra bits or the NovoContact. That’s what the horse likes! And she started out as a “duck behind the contact” curler, progressed to “leaning on the bit”, and now has the strength and education to maintain correct contact.

I got a Neue Schule Team Up to use as a bradoon on my PSG horse. But he goes so well in it I just use it as a snaffle.
