Where are you finding local events & clinics to attend? (I know about the omnibus, but talking non-recognized events)

Also, how do you decide when to ride with a different trainer than your own? Do you get your normal trainer’s recommendation? Based on prior experience? Are you willing to ride with someone you have not ridden with before?
Is there anything that would sway you into riding (or skipping) a clinic or event?
Local organizations and Facebook.
If I’m considering riding in a clinic, I try to audit the clinician first if possible. The clinicians in my area seem to come very regularly, so I can audit and then in a few months ride.
The area web sites often list unrecognized competitions, and clinics.
