Where can I find LARGE metal horse art for my barn?

I have a little “entrance” area at my barn with a small retaining wall, decorative gravel and the King’s Ransom sign – which sits right on the ground. The exterior wall space above this is totally blank right now … I was thinking that if I could find some nice outdoor wall-art of horses, it would look cool right there.

Of course, everything that I can find is suitably sized for indoor art. I’m looking for something really large to put on the size of a barn.

Any suggestions? Or better ideas? Does this sound dumb?

Call local welding shops and/or places that do those big decorative gates.

Maybe ask your farrier… sometimes if they do hot shoeing they also do artistic pieces or know someone who does.

Let me look through my FB…I’m friends with someone who does absolutely gorgeous metal art. From fireplace screens to decorative firepits to wall art. IIRC they also ship. Ah crap…who is that? For some reason I’m thinking it’s a farrier who’s also on here sometimes too.

Tom Stovall.

LOL, Ghazzu beat me to it. I was just over on FB scrolling through my friends list and remembered it was Tom when I saw him there.

I was remembering it was something-forge and couldn’t remember what the something part was or which name the forge belonged to.

Gotta love mental-pause memory. I guess I should just be thrilled I figured that out and that I didn’t put my underwear on over my pants this morning.

How big of artwork are you thinking? There’s a guy just outside of Wellsville that does all sorts of metal art, and the pieces I’ve seen are quite nice. He stays pretty busy. Not sure how big he can go, though. He also sharpens clipper blades.

I’ll pm his number.

We have some made by the high school shop, that has a plasma cutter.
They made all the cowboys, cattle and windmill figures that are welded on top of our entrance and have made full signs for neighbors.

Check with them, they do it as a school project and here, they do wonderful work, with your designs or, as they did for us, made the whole design themselves.
The cost was only that of the materials, as a donation to the school.

Go here if neither of the above work. I love metal art. I like those suns with cute faces on them. Metal gets better with age. No maintenance which I love about it. Also check out Pottery Barn. They have lots of metal things.

I haven’t looked, but you might check etsy. I know there are a lot of really cool sign makers on there that I have been browsing.

I have bought some stuff from clingermans, originally found them on eBay. Good quality, nice stuff
