Where do I buy belts for a belt buckle?

I just learned that my daughter is going to be awarded a belt buckle (shhh!) and so I realized she is going to need a belt to go with it, that I could wrap for next week… and now since this is a new thing for us, I need to know where you get the sort of belts that don’t come with a buckle or let you replace it with the award one. Thanks!

You can get one from any western wear store. Most belts come with a removable buckle and you can just put the trophy buckle on in place of the buckle that comes with the belt.

You may want to wait to get a belt so it will fit the buckle.

Belts come in different widths, so do belt buckles back attachment features.

congratulations on your daughter’s accomplishment …

Congrats to your daughter!

Just about any western store should have some western belts. Bling is still in (plain is fine if that’s her style) , so something like this at Boot Barn, for example.

Most western belts have either a buckle (that just snap) or screws (that you need to go get the screwdriver) so that you can change the buckle to one you have won.

I have many different belts, and have won many different buckles over the years. I have yet to have one that won’t interchange with another, and I’m swapping things all the time.

So I would overall disagree with your statement.

Maybe you are right, today’s buckles may have a standard width.
Have seen belts of different sizes and widths in stores, so not sure that is correct.

We used to make and tool our own and for gifts.
We made them wider or narrower depending on preferences and had buckles that fit different widths.

Of course, if the OP gets one that is too wide, she can shave the ends down to fit and if too narrow, it won’t matter if it is a little too loose.

You are right that most belts have ways to take one buckle out and put another in.

DD might take a different length belt depending on the kind of buckle. Hard to explain but a person might wear a 32 belt with a standard loop, keeper and tip buckle but a 30 for a one piece buckle typically used as trophy buckles. I used to have two different sizes of belts for the two types of buckles.

Id wait until she has the buckle to be sure the belt compliments the buckle design too.
