Where do those of you with the awesome trail photos live?

(if there’s old threads discussing this please link  I couldn’t find any)

Grand canyon-type scenery. Yes, I know where the Grand Canyon is . But where do you guys live where you can ride awesome terrain without heaps of tourists?

Las Vegas, Nevada. This was taken outside of Bonnie Springs Ranch.

Utah. We have everything from desert to red rock (Grand Canyon lookalikes) to alpine forest, so something for every season of the year.

Here is video of a slot canyon ride between Kanab and Zion National Park. We were the only ones there that day. Which is good 'cause you can’t really pass people!

And here are a couple of clips out in the west desert at Simpson Springs Utah (an old Pony Express station), showing mustangs in the neighborhood.

These too seem fuzzier than original, maybe it is just this computer or maybe file degradation. But it gives you an idea- you can ride as far as you can see in all directions.

I can’t post photos from work but the trails here in the state of Washington are stunning.

Ooooh Beverly, I have driven the Grand Junction - San Rafael Swell -Las Vegas route many times and have always wanted to hike or ride up a slot canyon. Very cool.

Oh, Plumcreek, The Swell is fabulous riding and I have barely scratched the surface.

I have pix somewhere. I just found Bryce Canyon area pix but need to get on a computer to share the link. Manana, maybe.

Well I don’t know where I have cleverly hidden the San Rafael pix, but since the OP was looking for ‘Grand Canyon-like’ scenery, the Bryce Canyon area is worth the detour. These photos are a couple of trails outside of the park proper- so no fees or permits, etc.

Red Rock Canyon State Park in Southern California - really beautiful riding.

Red Rock Canyon

A favorite place of mine is Montauk Point on the east end of Long Island in New York State.
The Atlantic, the lighthouse, the Roosevelt ranch, Oyster Pond and beaches are incredible. I much prefer to ride there on the beach in the winter too.
sorry I have no pics in this computer.

They most certainly are! I have seen some of the most amazing scenery while out riding in the mountains.

Loving all the pics/suggestions, thanks!

Las Vegas is definitely going on my list - I forgot how beautiful it is out of the city.
