I just read the Calumet stud fees for 2019 on The Bloodhorse, and he isn’t listed.
Fingers crossed he is still at stud here in the US, and perhaps standing somewhere for a slightly lower fee.
Just found this.

He’s still at Calumet… just available for a private fee in 2019.
DRF says the Calumet website says he’s a “private stallion” now. I have no idea what that means. That could mean that he has been leased to a farm for breeding only to its own mares, or it could mean that he is still available through Calumet but not for a fixed fee.
Gumtree?
According to the DRF story, they won’t be standing Americain at all in 2019. He’s listed in the Stallion Register as being at Calumet in 2018. I wonder what has happened to him. He’s a turf, staying Dynaformer son. He was at the Irish National Stud in 2015, and he’s done well in Australia as a stud shuttling, so maybe he’s gone there permanently.
They do have Vertiformer as a regional stallion though. Standing in Ohio I believe. Another Dynaformer son… doubled up on Hail to Reason.
Totally different type of race horse, though. Americain won at very long distances. If that was the proclivity that he passed on, he wouldn’t be wanted in North America/ the Americas. We don’t even write races as long as the ones he ran.
