I have a horse that is allergic to coastal, orchard, and timothy…tried him in brome, but it is making him have cow pies…sigh. I hate to feed him straight alfalfa as he is a hay pig (too rich, and it would break the bank…lol)
Any ideas?
they are never grown together as intentional crops…they exist in separate realms…can you not find a mid grade alfalfa ? it would not have the rocket fuel quality or price…
Why not buy Fescue hay and buy alfalfa hay and give him half of each? Fescue grows under different conditions than alfalfa so never seen them grown together, don’t think it can be done!
