A friend ordered from PassionEq and was quite happy. The boots arrived very quickly. Not sure about the other questions.
I believe Parlanti has a cheaper boot that runs at around $500. If that’s not the case, are you sure you’re seeing them for 500 US dollars? They’re about £500 from Europe.

It said £385 which I believe is about $500.

In that case, I would just blame that on the American equestrian markup.
I know they get a lot of flack here for the way they conducted themselves on this site, but I took a gamble and ordered a pair from Just Riding. They had sent out an e-mail with end of year clearouts, and they had a pair of Parlanti Miami’s in my size for 200 Euro. I figured for that price, I would take the gamble, and if they didn’t fit, I would be able to easily sell them for more than I paid. I ended up paying I believe $380CAD in total. I ordered them on Wednesday and they arrived Monday. They responded to e-mails lightning quick, and I was pleased overall. My assumption is that they are not a typical store-front that carries stock, they seem to get stock as it is ordered?
As with ordering from many companies, overseas and domestic, some people will have great experiences, and some may have horrid experiences. I lucked out and had a really good experience with Just Riding, but based on all that has occurred with them on COTH, I would definitely advise anyone considering doing business with them to take the appropriate precautions to cover your butt in case things go south, same as ordering from any other unknown company. FWIW, there are some small companies that people rave about that I did not have a good experience with AT ALL, so there is lots of variability.

I believe that is the price on Just Riding’s website, which includes VAT.

Thanks for your immediate snark, you really are quick on these Parlanti threads, personal vendetta? If you had read above, I posted about my experience with Just Riding, which was positive, while mentioning that I KNOWINGLY took a gamble after all of their bad press here, and it worked out for me. If you want to poo-poo a company solely based on their COTH conduct, go for it! I happened to come across a deal I couldn’t pass up, so I took a chance and it worked out. Not saying it will for every person that orders, but like I said, I have had that crappy experience with small companies that people fall over themselves to promote all over social media.

Who has any problem with you? You’re obviously a legit member of the board posting about your own personal experience unbiased by being a paid rep for the brand. Post all day! That’s not against the rules. Because that’s not advertising.
Not sure that’s true of our brand new poster who has 5 threads, all about Parlanti boots. It’s funny because I can think of one and only one brand EVER where that KEEPS HAPPENING on COTH and every time, there’s the same explanation why. How many times has it happened, a half dozen? Ten? Can’t think of ANY OTHER COMPANY with that kind of brass balls to keep being told “follow the rules” and yet keep coming back! At least they get slightly more clever each time. This time, rather than the “newbie” saying the company name… she fished for it until someone else said it. Creative
I actually held off posting this go-round until our new OP posted her FIFTH thread fishing for someone to mention Just Riding. They are FOUR of the first page topics at the moment.
Cue protestations from the OP about how she’s just your average jane rider with nooooooooooooo affiliation to JR. Never heard of them until she randomly decided to join COTH to ask about Parlantis… five times in 3 days…

I was simply replying to another poster’s question. If you Google Parlanti boots, I’m pretty sure that JustRiding comes up as the cheapest source. Of course, you have to do your own math regarding shipping, possible customs charges, currency exchange, company reviews, etc.
In this day and age, there really isn’t too much excuse to be fleeced by certain companies, it is very easy to research reviews from all sorts of people from all sorts of places that have used the company, beyond the “testimonials” on webpages. It’s tough to know if those are even real, and obviously no company is going to post negative or even neutral reviews about themselves! FWIW, the person at Just Riding that I dealt with is Charles, not sure who he is in the company, and my boots shipped from their warehouse (or central depot or whatever) in Poland.
If these posters coming here and posting a million threads are fishing for mentions of the company, I hope they aren’t actual employees of Just Riding, because they are doing a pretty piss poor job by just posting random threads about Parlantis without any mention of the store hoping that it gets brought up.
ETA: I have been hesitant to mention my purchase from this company on any Parlanti threads for this very reason. I just want to restate that I am in NO way promoting ordering from this company blindly, I suggest everyone do their homework, just as I would suggest with every other company, and as I do myself with any small company I order from myself.

Sorry, not trying to start anything, I just didn’t understand. I remember the Parlanti threads, but I thought that was being done by Parlanti themselves, not a supplier. My bad :o

FWIW, a quick google search turned up these other 2 companies in the UK that have a comparable price on Parlantis, I have personally never used either, so I can’t say anything on that front!

No, it was always ever Just Riding (and the other names it went by) playing the “pretend to be a customer and spam the boards” game. Not Parlanti itself.

Ahhhh. That makes more sense. I never understood why a company, that in my experience seems to outfit 50% of the showgrounds needs, needed to come post over here…
