Where Sjef was

That was interesting watching people speak dutch…NOT:rolleyes:

Really, he is not my idea of a talented film maker!! Other people’s home movies, even those of celebrities…ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz:sleepy:

She has bad teeth, he can’t make a home video.

Good thing that they have other talents, huh?

has bad teeth, Not Anky, I always seem to recall her having this mouth full of white teeth:confused:

And in the meantime, those of us who do speak Dutch enjoyed quite a few videos he posted on www.horsus.nl - from the first day of quarantine onwards. Training in quarantine, the travel over, training in HK, the stalls, the facilities, etc.

Okay, whether Sjef is a great filmmaker or not, that left to the side, but I do have to say that the daily videos he made in Hong Kong were really great.
It made the dutch people feel like they were part of the entire event.

When my vets left for HK, I was describing them the airconditioned barn , how the scheduling for workouts work, the sanitizing your hands at the entrance etc… And my vet was looking at me, saying you know more about the place then us who have to go there .

Which other country involved their fans into the procedure as well and as detailed? No one…
The videos were viewed by tons of dutch fans and really appreciated.

This is not a yeah I like Anky & Sjef or UH I hate that pair, but just an observation, that they did this for their fans so all could see & sniff up a little of the atmosphere in HK!

Excellent maybe you guys could have a dutch speaking board then;)

Haha, yup we do actually : bokt.nl & forum of horsus.nl.

However great these forums are, it’s more beneficial in my mind to be active on a forum of the country you live in, rather then the language you speak.

I love COTH!! When it comes to horsecare etc, you’ll get better advice on what action to take then on foreign boards. Other countries don’t necessarily deal with the same diseases and so on…
I’m hooked here

I think we’ll have to suggest to Sjef to provide some subtitles next time. Seems his audience just gets bigger.
(-kidding-)

PS (I’m not dutch however, just dutch speaking  and not a die hard Anky fan either, hate her rollkur training, but do like her as a person)

When Klaus had used the camera the way Sjef did, we didn’t have to guess how and who put Mythilus and Courtney into problems.

What ? Say it again please…I didn’t follow it.

i think he means if balkenhol was filming everything he would have caught a person giving mythilus felbinac.

sjef showing

In the footage posted here from Horsus.nl we could see the jog, and we could see why the rider involved was send to the holding box after the jog. Sjef filmed hours and hours from the first day in quarantaine until the last day of the homecoming party with the Royal family and our Government. He also showed us and told us that the security wasn’t always that strict at Hongkong. I can imagine that this was a hughe efford, and he did it for the Dutch dressage fans who really loved it and learned a lot about how everything is handled during these kind of competitions. And did I already mention that at least 50% of the regular viewers of these small videos came from abroad. At least it gave me a wonderfull view on many things that happened behind the scenes. Maybe this is why the Equestrian sport is the #2 sport in Holland and that the export of horse-related products last year was higher than the export of tulips.
