Where to find warmblood youngsters for sale

I’m looking into buying my next partner and am struggling to find young unbroke horses. I have looked at the typical equine.com dreamhorse and warmbloods for sale. It seems most breeder webpages are outdated. Suggestions on where to look for a 2 yr old warmbllod or warmblood cross for a Hunter. I have seen some on auctions anyone buy one from there.

Here you go…

Find a stallion you like and go to his website or FB page. Contact the owner and see what they have or their clients may have available…

Ours are listed DH, warmblood sales and equine as you mentioned although we don’t have a web page / let it go after our previous stallion died/ have not been marketing his son at stud.

Plenty at http://www.warmblood-sales.com/. Ours are there and on facebook,Sport Royal Farms.

Sent you a PM

If you’re able to travel as far as Southern Ontario then Google for:
braecreststables.com near Barrie, Ontario.
You can’t go wrong with the owner/breeder.
The exchange rate is excellent too.

I know several who have bought warmbloods ( and crosses) from : ravine ranch sport horses. They are located in Manitoba. They have videos of their yearlings and weanlings and their prices are about $2500. and $1500. transport is affordable. So far, the ones I’ve seen are good looking and quiet.

Best place to buy youngsters is “FENCES auction” in France, they have the highest percentage of top horses from any other auction in the world (Jumpers)

several groups on facebook that have thousands of members:

Just hunter/jumper/eq or type hunter in search box and groups will appear

Definitely the Facebook groups. These are all I ever look at anymore. I’ve seen dozens of unstarted 2 year olds.

“Just hunters, jumpers, and equitation horses for sale or lease” is one … there are plenty of others.

Some others:

“warmblood and sporthorse sales”
“warmblood horses for sale”

Oh go to Bliss MF’s Facebook page there are several of his youngsters for sale there.

Most of us breeders that have multiple young horses to sell don’t bother with the standard advertising websites anymore. Most of us are advertising in the free facebook groups mentioned here, or on our farm fb pages, etc. It’s just an easier, more cost effective way to list multiple youngsters. Good luck!

We don’t try very hard to sell youngsters as we have the feed and (we believe) the ideal environment for them to grow up in, and the means to get them started under saddle. At which point they are so much easier to sell.

Having said that, we have been selling yearlings and two year olds more often over the last couple of years.

Check the wb registries’ websites for inspections. You can see a number of foals with their dams and without there from different breeders in one place. You will also be able to hear what the inspectors say about them. If within driving distance, a great place to see, learn and meet breeders.

I have my horses on Warmblood-sales, Facebook, and my website. Best of luck.

Just a few that I can think of right now.

I do the same as Tim. I find sharing on Facebook much easier than frequent web updates, and multiple classifies (that someone like me can forget to update with changes :uhoh:).
Best of luck in your search, we have great horses here, sometimes you just have to ask around and turn over some stones.
I am watching how the Professional Auction company does with its auctions over time, it would be a good venue for US buyers and sellers if it would work out.
