Where to get a bright orange coat/vest for a Great Dane?

I’ve googled and come up with nothing, but maybe ya’ll will be able to help me?

Pup #2 is a fawn Dane about 37" tall. We live in an area very highly populated by hunters and he looks A LOT like a deer from far away (actually, deer have mistaken him for one until they get close enough for a whiff). I usually have him on a leash but will sometimes allow him off leash. He never wanders, and has good recall, and we don’t allow hunters on our property…but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

If you’re willing to pay for reasonable shipping, try:

They’re blankets are well made. They carry a hunting orange (very bright) in a variety of sizes.

the previous post about a shirt for a pit bull had a link to Motley Mutt that had an orange reflective safety vest that looked pretty adjustable

and doing a google on dog orange safety vest came up with an extensive list - you would have to go thru it to ensure the size is right

Start w/ LLBean:

Also a great site - back country k-9; they have several

Thank you!

The Greenhawk and LL Bean’s largest sizes are still much too small. Willy is sulking that I woke him up and made him get off the couch to take measurements…lol.

But the Motley Mutt and Leerburg ones look like they will fit, so I will probably order from either of them.

Thanks again!

Check these out, Motley Mutt definitely has sizes big enough for a Dane

Get thee to Etsy, where you can have a coat made in custom size. I have a dane as well and finding a winter coat for him off the rack was impossible- he’s large in stature but much leaner than most danes, so things that were long enough to cover his back tended to be too deep through the chest & barrel.

Here’s one option.

But their size charts are way off and they don’t accept returns or exchanges!

Cindy, it’s apparent you have a beef with Motley Mutt, but dredging up threads that are well over a year old to post complains about their sizing charts really isn’t the best method to air your grievances…

A couple years ago I bought one for my shrimpy dog at the local PetsMart and they had those up to elephant sizes.
I noticed that because when we had a great dane they didn’t have coats for that big a dog, was glad to see they do now.

Have you checked there?

They sell the reflective orange duct tape at auto and sports stores. Until you order something, you could make your own with an old T shirt and that kind of tape.

Guys, this thread is from Oct 2013. Cindy just posted on it to complain about the sizing guide from Motley Mutt. I imagine Max has long since solved this problem and found a jacket for her pup

Yes, what’s up with so many old threads being revived lately?

At least the new posters get to read about that same stuff, in case they didn’t know about it.
