My niece’s horse has EPM and we want to treat with Oroquin-10 since I’ve seen it used successfully. It’s been a few years though and I’m not sure where her vet needs to call to fill the prescription. Does anyone have the current info on how to get it? Thanks!
It’s a compounded paste of decoquinate (0.5 mg/kg) and levamisole (1 mg/kg.) Any compounding pharmacy can probably whip it up, but the one mentioned in this study is Francks Compounding Labs, in Ocala, FL.
Wedgewood also carries it: https://www.wedgewoodpetrx.com/items/decoquinate-levamisole-oral-paste.html
Pathogenes in Reddick, FL has it in pills, I think. Check their website and call them. My horse ate it eagerly 2 1/2 years ago when placed in a small amount of grain.
My stablemate had her vet call in a prescription to Pathogenes earlier this summer. Edible tablets broken up in grain also.
