Where to have horsehair jewelry made?

I lost my beloved pony in a freak pasture accident last week. I am beyond heartbroken and would like to have horsehair bracelets made for myself as well as for a couple of friends who loved her. Any recommendations?

Many thanks.

Sent you a PM.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Ponylocks does amazing work.

I HIGHLY recommend The Horsehair Studio! She did a bracelet for me last year after I lost my horse and it was perfect. I received the bracelet quickly and the quality was great. I wear it almost everyday and looks the same as it did the first day.

COTH poster SpacyTracy does BEAUTIFUL work - I have several pieces and have commissioned numerous others.

So sorry for your loss, it is so tough. I lost my mare to cancer in October, and I’ve been looking at some pieces from this place https://houseofsalmi.com/us_en/ because I’d like to be able to mix it in with my regular jewelry.

Another vote for PonyLocks - Penny is amazing!

Sorry for your loss!

I love House of Salmi in Germany (link noted in post above). It does take some time to get your order, but the quality is high and isn’t just braided hair. So far, my ring has held up very well even with barn abuse.

I am so sorry for your loss. It took me 5 years to find a place to do my old mares. I love Enter at A LLC. The owner is very nice and she makes padded leather bracelets which hold up to a lot of wear and tear.

Some beautiful resources here so I have no shame in bumping up an old thread to ask if anyone has updated answers to the same question. Sadly asking for a friend.

I had a great experience with Tail Spin bracelets recently.

Whatever you do don’t go to Heart Horse Customs. I have an Amazon pay claim against them and there is a FB group for Victims of Heart Horse Customs.

I just received my horsehair bracelet from PonyLocks and I am in love with it. One side is hair from my horse Griff and the other side is from Royal (lost them both within the last year). This is the style I got;

I also got hang tags on each side of the clasp with their names. It is exactly what I envisioned. Penny reached out to me several times to check and make sure she understood what I wanted, and it only took about 4 weeks to have it made and shipped. She also sent back the extra tail hair, so I might have some raku pottery made with that.

Will try to take pics and post in a bit.

Not jewelry, but does anyone know where to get a frame with horse hair incorporated? I am having a custom portrait done and am envisioning a nice wooden frame with part of it routed out and braided hair inlayed in it.

I had a silver cuff made by HorseHairCreationsCH on Etsy - Celia, the seller was delightful to work with, very responsive and kind. (Which was especially useful after some other sellers ghosted me or just never replied in the first place)

@HJdaydream - I saw horse hair frames on Etsy from HorsehairCreationsCH. They have good reviews, although I don’t have any personal experience with them.

Ended up getting a bracelet from PonyLocks, and it’s gorgeous - exactly what I wanted, and she’s super nice to deal with. Thanks for the tips!
