So my Cushings boy did not respond well when I tried to transition from pergolide from thriving pets to prascend a few years ago. I went to reorder from thriving pets recently and they are no longer selling it. Anyone else buy compounded pergolide? Where do you get it from? TIA
http://www.wedgewoodpetrx.com/ is one. You will find that many on-line pharmacys will not post prices until you submit a vet’s prescription.
Try Pet Health Pharmacy https://www.pethealthpharmacy.com/about.html I’ve got a Cushing dog and Wedgewood charges 2x more than Thriving pets.
Interested in following this thread in case I learn of some new compounding pharmacies I haven’t heard of.
Curious about those of you who ordered from Thriving Pets- anyone order recently? I had a horrible experience with them for non-rx products, although my first order was while they were in transition across the country (which wasn’t information disclosed at their site at the time.) I couldn’t get in touch with anyone for two months of trying. Their pricing on a few items was worth trying again if they’re not normally like that.
Pergolide from Wedgewood Pharmacy. They are great to work with. Its much less $$$ than prascend. It really stinks though, and I crush it up and put it in their soaked mash every day. sometimes I also add applesauce to the feed just to cover up the smell. But they usually eat it fine.
What are you crushing? I just talked to Wedgewood on Friday and they told me they only have powder or capsules (starting at 1.5 mg). I was going to order capsules but now am curious what you are using.
I order mine through Wedgewood. It’s an apple molasses flavor or something like that. Smells like breakfast in a jar!! I have the taste tablets that you can crush or break up. My prescription is for a 1mg tablet,
