Where to park to spectate at Devon?

I just moved to the area, and can’t wait to go watch. Where is the best option to park? The acme parking lot near where the RVs and trailers are parked? Is there a church parking lot that lets you pay to park that I haven’t seen?

I might be interpreting the website wrong, but it looks like their only options on site are $300 a vehicle for the whole show?

Thank you!

Unless things have changed a great deal (which they may well have, it’s been twenty years since I’ve been!), there will be any number of local residents standing in their front yards with signs offering parking. No idea what the going rate is these days.

It seems everyone who has a home near the show offers parking–usually around $20 for the day. The Acme, or Whole Foods parking lots are a good walk to the show.

When I went a couple years ago, there actually was a church that opened its lot for spectators. It was just a few blocks from the showgrounds and a nice walk. Definitely lots of private parking available surrounding the showgrounds.

As PL said. Just about every house behind the grounds parks cars in their yard. The closer to the show grounds the more expensive it is. Prices usually go up on the very popular Gran Prix night. These folks have been doing it for years. They know market forces, lol.

If you get there early you can park for free on the Devon grounds, on the lot on Dorset Road. We parked there early during the day on Grand Prix day (we wanted to see the Hunter Derby) and didn’t have to pay and there was plenty of space. It might have changed but I think the $300 is a limited amount of reserved spaces in that lot for guaranteed parking.

Thanks all, I did park at the church nearby today. I was asking because I drove around the neighborhood yesterday and saw a lot of No Parking signs but no signs for other parking. That was very different today!
