Where to sell Odd Size Dressage Saddle?

I’ve got a 19" saddle I am trying to sell but no interest. Are there any places other than Facebook where I can post it for sale? Any consignor sites? It is a lower end saddle (Thornhill). Thanks!

There are a couple of plus size equestrian sale groups in Facebook where larger size saddles are popular

If it’s a narrow - medium width, I’d be delighted if you would PM about your saddle.

Sent you a PM. Tree is 33 cm.

Somewhat related question – what about a 16-inch saddle? Is that considered an odd size? If so, how to find buyers looking for smaller sizes?

I’m toying with the idea of selling a saddle, but haven’t decided/gotten around to it.

I had a 16.5" County Competitor that I loved, but it didn’t come even close to fitting a new horse after I retired the one who used it, so sadly I parted with it. I am a short adult (and it had a short flap, which is what I need but somewhat hard to find used), and I found most people who were interested were buying for teens. I sold it on a dressage tack FB group. I did point out the short flap, which made it somewhat unique and likely unsuitable for a more typical buyer.

for the 16 inch, look towards pony and childrens equipment sites

Thanks, I’ll check into that whenever I get serious about moving it to a new home.

It’s not a common brand (and not a cheap one either) and brown, so I don’t know how that will affect desirability.

I would put the 19” saddle at a popular tack shop on consignment. It may take awhile waiting for right person to show up, thinking husband of avid rider who thinks he wants to ride.

As a petite adult I love a small, short-flapped saddle and they’re hard to find used. I think consigning it with any of the tack shops that have a good online presence for higher end saddles would be your best bet. If you want to sell it yourself, then focusing on the dressage Facebook groups. Those are the places I looked when I was shopping.

I’ve got a 16-3/4 Neidersuss Hippostar (the old kind) that appears to be a hard sell. Has a “wide” tree that would probably be equivalent of a medium/medium wide County.

I’m about ready to take it to our local used tack shop here in Ocala – my steadily widening behind will no longer fit into it. I used to LOVE this saddle, but now…
